So the opening ceremony starts tonight at 8pm (but it's not live since Creek time is like 8 hours ahead...). What're your favorite countries and sports??

I just want to say that the interpretive dance thing tonight gave the word 'interpretation' a bad name everywhere. It was one of the most demented things I have ever seen in my life.

haha. the whole show was kind of boring. Nothing like watching people walk for 2 hours!!

But before that was the horror. Between the red centaur, the woman with the statue head, the dancing-turning-to-****ing couple, and the flying blue dude, only acid would have made everything understandable. But thankfully, I was letting it all soak in among a collection of interpers, so at least I wasn't alone in my insanity and confusion.

and then the whole parade of floats they did was so stupid and boring. Those people were covered in like PLASTER.

I think they were covered in plaster because they're supposed to look like statues...

I personally liked the guy walking on the cube.. that was neat.

The coolest event i've seen so far is definitely the 3 meter synchronized diving. now THAT is the coolest. 8)

Its not a Greek thign every Olympic ceromny has this problem of inherent dumbness.

i was LOVING me some beach volleyball....the victory celebration for the gold medal winners was defenitely hot.
