I must say that without the invention of the Internet nor sites such as forensicsonline.net I'd never have gotten better at extemp from starting out as a freshman four years ago. Forensicsonline.net and such sites helped me harness the skills I already had and made me that much better so I thank them for that.

This will be my last post on this board as a current competitor as I leave tomorrow afternoon for Salt Lake City in my last shot at glory for the NFL National championship. It's been a wild ride through four years of competition against the likes of Jason Lear, Ariel Schneller, Rana Yared, Jay Ward, Amanda Knight, David Tannenwald, Dan Hemel, Amaris Singer, Josh Bone, David Tucker, and hundreds of others but I've enjoyed it all in stride.

Thanks again everyone for their encouragement and love of this great event that we participate in week in and week out in an effort to be the best we can be. That's it for me...time to turn out the lights.

Good luck Logan. It's killing me that I made some bad choices and am not going, but hey.

Good luck to everybody, and I mean everybody, forensics has been fun.

Logan,

Next year, the extemp community will have the great misfortune of losing one of its classiest, kind, and talented extempers as possible, in you. Measuring by the innumerable amount of extempers I know and have talked to, including myself, your impact, which will be a lasting one of class and dedication, has not gone unnoticed. You truly set an example that I think everyone can learn from. I look forward to spending one more week with you, this time in Salt Lake, and as you know, everyone's got their fingers crossed for you.

Logan:

Though I cannot boast that I have competed with you on the National circuit, at MBA, or otherwise, I can say that having you as the leading contender in Extemp has made my first year much more interesting. Even though, at many tournaments, I've grimaced at seeing you enter the prep room, watching you at Emory and KHSSL certainly helped me define where I should be going. Good luck at Nats! We're all counting on you, Mr. Scisco.

Wow, I can't believe that this thread is still a "sticky" and it was created 2 years ago...lol.
