hey, I have signed up for the DI/HI major/minor, and I was wondering how the time is split up, if anyone has ever done it?
thanks!

you'll spend a lot more time with your major. Last year, though it might be different this year, the way the schedule worked was you were with your major lab from after the morning lectures and electives (like 11 or 12 i think) until dinner, and then from dinner till like 8, which was performance hour. You only met with your minor lab after performance hour at like 9:30 or ten. I'm pretty sure the times i just gave are close, but they very well may not be. But you get the idea. Most of the day, you work with your major lab; you meet much more often and work more closely with your leaders at the early stages of your pieces - cutting, character development, etc. By the end of the main session, excluding extension if you do it, your major piece will most likely be refined to the point where its performable, or close to it. Your minor on the other hand will be chosen and cut, but depending on how fast you're able to work, it wont be that much beyond that. That's one of the good things about extension. You can spend the time just sort of polishing your major piece while focusing on catching up your minor piece.
