Who can we expect to see at semis and finals?

i haven't had the chance to see that many HI's this year, but i do believe that some of the UTNIFers have a really good chance of kicking butt this year. (i.e. joel keelor-actor!)

Joel Keelor i actually have not seen, with the exception of like a minute of it back at camp. I can't imagine its anything but the best though. He should go far.

Erica Dasher, assuming she qualifies, is going to kick ***. She's awesome.

As is Andrew Heald. Goosepumps is great. I havent seen it since july, and it was superb then.

Lisa Campbell should do very well too. Not the funniest piece, but far and away one of the cleanest performers i've ever seen. She's got awesome tech and characters.

I can name quite a few other people that would rape at nats, but i dont know whether they made it. Some i know didnt and its a crime, i.e. chelsea d'hemecourt.

Well, even if they do make it, I would not reccommend rape of any kind. Speaking from experience, I think I can safely say that raping anything in the room, or yourself, for that matter, leaves a bad impression on judges. Especially when it's not even your turn to perform.

actually, funny story. my debate team has begun using the term "kobe style" to refer to someone who is good. so now we'll see someone awesome perform and just look at each other and say "kobe style," indicating that they just raped the round.

andy heald all the way baby.... i know u hear me out there andy, and if u dont... well then u wont know i said it lol. but yeah andys just completely amazing at HI. i honestly expect him to win. erica dasher did qualify, she took first in our district. kamelle mills is the other one going from our district. but yeah andy knows a lot of people believe in him and his HI. he got shafted at state, and so i told him he can make up for it at nats. and he will.

Anthony Wee is also doing "ACTOR!" and its freakin HILLARIOUS.

The guy who qualled from belamante won CA states (which anthony went in duo) and he was, so i hear (never saw him), one of the funniest things ever. Look out for those 2.

and the two guys I saw do it a Emory Nick Fox(Holy Ghost Prep) and some other guy that took 2nd were great and their both from the east coast and we all know west coast HI's tend to get a bad rap in the later rounds.

I think Alex Weisman will definetly go far at Nats. His piece is HILARIOUS!!

as for you mister preoccupied, yes i got your shout out and i thank you a billion and a half times for believing in me. i am going into nats looking to have as much fun as possible hanging out with some of the best friends i have ever made and hoping to do well of course, but mostly, reflecting on the best year i have had so far. a lot of peopel say that after high school, forensics interest fades and you dont believe in it as much. i do not see that happening to me. salt lake is going to be awesome and some of the best competition i will ever see.

here's the deal. They are in my district and Savannah was just in Duo. RYAN, however, was in DI, OO, and DUO. Uh oh, looks like three events. They didnt catch it until midway through prelims of his OO round, so they couldnt stop right then. NFL rules (as least here) only allow for the entering of 2 events, so 3 was a DQ. End of that story. If i was Savannah, I would be so pissed at the irresponsible coach that didnt check 1st...just me though.

in entering threee - i would blame him and his coach for not paying attention.... although it really does suck that he had to be dqed - especially when in a team event

I saw her do HI "Ruthless" at Berkely, and although I found it amazing, I still thought The Onion and Live and In Color (Robert Bergin, Bellarmine, 1st in CA states; Latoya Johnson, Logan, 3rd in states) were funnier and even more technically amazing.

I understand what you are saying Princeton, and I do not know her to judge her chacter but believe you on her being cool. The thing is though, is that there are a number of very talented people that she has not faced off with, such as Erika Dasher of Houston Texas (The Onion) and Joel Keelor of Tenessee (Actor!) who by the way performs one of the most awesometacular HI's I have ever seen. I could see him winning based on his explicit character development and perfect technical ability. He and Erika are clean and hysterical. Ruthless has never won nationals and it has never made it to finals (to the best of my knowledge), and perhaps natalie could change that, but i'll tell you one thing: Even outside of these three very prestigous names, there are a lot of people who are going to make HI this summer the hardest HI tourny ever, and also, more importantly, the most fun to watch and compete in.

Man I cannot wait to fly to Salt Lake, mostly just to see everyone. I love you my UTNIF posse! shout outs to the TN, TX, Jersey, Cali, and wonderful Louisiana kids that I have not seen in WAY too long.
