Here's an idea. Lets create a profile for those people who will be at state listing their style and strategy to help those who end up qualifying. I'll list the people i know.
Sean Olson, Eastview
As much as we talk, I've never really discussed Sean, at least in recent memory. No info. Maybe Sean himself can help me out ;)
Colin Smith, Apple Valley
Very articulate. In a state competition setting, he'll not always take leadership, but rephrase what has been said and add new ideas, always sound very intellectual and put together. Very professional apperance. 3rd i believe and state last year and a good shot for finals this year.
Erik Davis, Edina
***omitted because aaron corrected me...******* :P ***
Matt Brew BSM
He didn't really say much at the Roseville final i had with him. He seemed to also be an under-the-radar disccusant. But he didn't talk enough for me to get a good impression.
Elliot Musilek BSM
Don't know him.
Kathy Tymchuck BSM
Don't know her.
Mary Cunningham (Tartan)
Can't remember.
Nicole Dullinger (Centennial)
I know who she is, but am having a total brain fart now and can't put a name to the face. I'll come back to her.
Karlee Weinman (Stillwater)
Don't know.
Claudia Liddle --Eagan
She's had a successful season, but i must not seeing the rounds where she does really well in. I had a round with her last year and rosemount and state and finals at roseville this year. I'm not sure what to make of her.
Alan Klein --Woodbury
Don't know him
Anne O'Gara --Cretin Derham Hall
Don't know him.
Lillian Buchalter
Aggressive, but not as much as Josi. She has the amount of aggressiveness that might just be that medium at state judges are looking for. She's well read and a good discussant.
Amanda Luppes
Don't know/remember.
Josi Cecchini
VERY aggressive. She'll be screwed if she gets a politeness judge like Jana Rieck. Her tactics are to answer every question asked, and her Achille's heel is probobly inability to let others answer questions and relinquish power at times. She'll either be very successful at state or not at all.
