I'm just curious who will be attending CFL and/or NFL.

Also, if you do both, which is more competitive in your area?

Hey folks! Since I'm skipping graduation for CFL nats, my best friend and I are going to have our own graduation in the hotel. This is an invitation for all of you UTNIFers to attend. I'll give you more information when we figure it out, but it would be really cool if some people could go...and UTNIF reunions are always fun!

are you sure? i really wouldn't recommend it... graduation is a once in a lifetime thing, a stepping into the out world, a girl becomign a woman thing. CFL nats? wut is that????? thats not even a real tournament!

Believe me, I have been thinking about this ever since I found out that the two things would conflict. However, the graduation really isn't a big deal to me; it's leaving high school that I look forward to. If I had some strong love for my school, perhaps I would be more inclined to attend graduation, but speech has been much more important to me than anything else at that school. I can't think of a better way to end my high school career than by spending a week enjoying Boston with my friends.

Besides, I think I would regret missing my last high school speech tournament much more than I would miss sitting on a stage listening to bad speeches and names being called for three hours. I'll have another chance to do that in four more years, when I've actually worked for it.

You guys got 1st alternate!!?!?!? I'm sorry . . . congrats on Hi, apparantly, i'll be seeing you there.

What happened to Matt in Di?

SniffyGuy
03-29-2004, 06:38 AM
matt ain't going in anything. he didn't even make first alternate in DI. it was a tough round, but he definately placed lower than he should have. in fact, i'm the only one from my team to qualify, which is sad considering like 12 went to utnif last summer.

^^^^ You clearly feel Alex's and my pain. Looks like there will be some sad UTers/FFIers going alone to Utah.

It's all good though, cuz you know we're gonna have a big ol' warm up session like the one we had in harvard.

.... although hopefully not in a basement where someone can get sprayed by a leaky pipe.
